Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care System Area Prescribing Committee (APC)

The Surrey Heartlands preferred list of oral nutritonal supplements (ONS) for Primary Care has been updated.
The APC have also approved the list of ONS with defined Traffic Light Status to aid identification of preferred, non-preferred and non-formulary products.

Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care System Area Prescribing Committee (APC)

The Surrey Heartlands Integrated Care System Area Prescribing Committee (APC) approves use of Fortisip PlantBased 1.5kcal ready to drink oral nutritional supplement as an option for those patients requiring a ready to drink oral nutritional supplement suitable for vegans and people with cows milk allergy with ACBS approval in the UK.

Fortisip PlantBased 1.5kcal ready to drink oral nutritional supplement will be given a BLUE traffic light status

Restricted use to those who require a ready to drink vegan or cows milk free ONS or bolus enteral feed, on the request of and under ongoing supervision of registered dietitians.
